Check-in at the Bungalow with warm traditional tea hospitality of the garden people. After refreshment, we take you for a short hike to the hillock to enjoy the serenity and scenic beauty. Soak into the comfort of luxury in the colonial heritage bungalow.
Day 2: Today we explore the garden with the manager and experience the process of tea manufacturing with tea plucking, a factory visit followed by tea testing of various blends of Darjeeling flavour. Later after lunch, we can go for a hike to the nearby village to interact with the garden workers and to see their livelihoods. An alternate option is to go for an exciting ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan railway from Mahanadi Heritage Station or an excursion to Kurseong town. Back to the bungalow and spend the rest of the day lazily with a book. Or an enthusiast can hike to the nearby natural waterfalls for a stimulating bathing under the falls (Seasonal). The evening will mark by a thumping tribal musical show with dance and bonfire performed by the garden workers.
Day 3: Walk to the nearby forest early morning for a bird-watching tour for a couple of hours before checking out from Goomtee. Tour ends with breakfast and a warm farewell from the garden and drives to the onward destination.
For an additional one-night stay you can go for an excursion to Darjeeling by Darjeeling Himalayan rail from Mahanadi Heritage Station on the third day. The journey itself is an experience as the nostalgic toy train chugging its way through the forests and tea garden on the picturesque Darjeeling hills. The journey can be a combination of both train and a car ride to help you reach faster in Darjeeling.
The other option is to have a picnic lunch in picturesque natural surroundings by the riverside.
We will return to the Garden by the evening and spend the night in the cosy comfort with the warmth of the fireplace.
